Why weren’t the men of England, Russia, or France subservient and dependent? And many other “whys”… Zibakalam endeavors in this book to depart from conventional theories, which often attribute Iran’s backwardness to communist or colonial roots. He believes that colonialism is not the cause of Iran’s backwardness.
